Backcountry Carry Class

How to Carry Safely and Effectively in the Backcountry

This class is focused on the unique threats, and equipment/carry constraints that may be encountered in the backcountry. This environment has animal and human predator threats but there is often no access to call for help. You are your own first responder and own protector. We teach the skills to safely deal with this environment, and provide entertaining scenarios that build real world skills. This class is not focused on urban tactics, but many of the skills will apply to that environment as well. The class is offered as a beginner, intermediate and advanced skill level and students are grouped with other students of similar skills. You can expect short but relevant classroom sessions, accompanied by several shooting exercises that develop safe skills to improve speed and accuracy. Classes run 6 hours and the cost is $200 per class.

Concealed Carry Class

Learn to carry and use a concealed firearm with confidence

This class is the official modular concealed carry class from the NRA. Various modules are taught depending on the beginner, intermediate, or advanced level classes. An improved course of fire that includes many skill building scenarios that enhances skills, improves accuracy and speed. This class is also helpful for developing the skills to compete in defensive pistol, IPSC and Steel Challenge competitive events. The complete course progression covers everything from familiarity with all types of handguns to drawing, mindset, psychological factors, malfunction clearing to shooting and moving. The classes are broken down into 6 hour days with short classroom sections and several shooting drills. Patient instruction makes for a comfortable environment for any level of shooter from beginners to advanced shooters. $150 per class.

We are open to creating a customized training plan for your needs. We frequently offer short workshops for specific skills. These include red dot optic systems (having trouble finding the dot fast?), and a variety of backcountry skills not related to firearms including navigation, backcountry medical, route finding, winter survival skills, and many other others.
